The Milton-Freewater Unified School District is recruiting for substitute bus drivers to support our transportation department.  There is the potential for support with getting your CDL and appropriate endorsements.  Our ideal candidates will have:

• Experience in driving and operating procedures for buses, vans and other vehicles.
• Knowledge of current laws and regulations governing school transportation.
• Understanding of transportation safety practices and procedures.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff and community members.
• Documented good driving record.
• Oregon CDL with passenger and school bus endorsements required.
• First aid/CPR certification required.
• High school diploma or GED.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Including, but not limited to, continuous sitting, driving, grasping and repetitive raising and pushing, as in operating foot controls. Frequent pushing, pulling and reaching. Must be able to lift a maximum of 75 pounds with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 40 pounds.

COMPENSATION:

Salary starts at $13.86 per hour.
