Milton-Freewater Oregon is a multi-cultural community located in the northeast corner of the state within ten miles of Walla Walla Washington. The Milton-Freewater Unified School District is now taking applications for the following position:
POSITION: Substitute Teacher - District Wide
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of instructional methodologies effective with elementary students.
- Knowledge of student assessment techniques including curriculum based assessment.
- Knowledge of classroom organization and student management techniques.
- Knowledge of planning and implementing instruction.
- Knowledge of Oregon’s curriculum and common core standards and benchmarks.
- Demonstrated skills in providing equitable opportunities for success for all students.
- Ability to work in a cooperative, positive manner with students, staff, parents and community.
- Experience in using data driven instruction preferred.
- Experience with integrating technology in instruction preferred.
- Experience or training in Guided Language Acquisition Design (GLAD) and/or Constructing Meaning preferred.
- Spanish language skills preferred.
- Possess or qualify for Oregon’s Basic, Standard, Initial, Continuing license with elementary endorsement.
COMPENSATION:
Substitute Pay is $178.35 per day and $89.17 for a half-day (half day minimum call in).
