Milton-Freewater Oregon is a multi-cultural community located in the northeast corner of the state within ten miles of Walla Walla Washington.  The Milton-Freewater Unified School District is now taking applications for the following position:

Custodian: Gib Olinger Elementary School - 8 hour day, 5 days a week, 220 days - Summers Off

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Demonstrated success in overseeing facility custodial and maintenance services.  
• Experience in the performance of routine custodial tasks.
• Experience in the performance of routine building and grounds maintenance tasks.
• Knowledge of and experience in building safety management.
• Experience in supplies requisitioning and inventory procedures.
• Knowledge and/or experience with plumbing, electrical, roofing, floors and carpentry.
• Ability to learn to operate and maintain complex water, sewer, heating and cooling systems.
• Ability to work in a cooperative, positive manner with students, staff, parents and community.
• Strong organizational skills required.
• Technology skills preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required. 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Including, but not limited to, constant moving about, including bending, reaching, pushing/pulling, climbing, balancing, twisting and kneeling.  Employee must be able to lift up to 100 pounds frequently.

COMPENSATION:
This position is 8 hours per day, 220 days per year.  Pay rate is $11.74 - $15.29 per hour depending on experience plus 1% annual stipend for staff who live within district boundaries.  This position includes a full health and retirement benefit package.
