Milton-Freewater Oregon is a multi-cultural community located in the northeast corner of the state within ten miles of Walla Walla Washington.  The Milton-Freewater Unified School District is now taking applications for the following position:

 

Paraprofessional - Multiple Schools

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to work in a cooperative, positive manner with students, staff, parents, and community.
• Ability to assist students in their understanding of instructional concepts.
• Ability to follow lesson plans and prepare teaching aids and materials.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish), preferred
• Must be self-motivated and work well independently. 
• GED or high school diploma required.
• Must be willing to assist students with toileting needs.
• Complete ONE of the following:
• Obtaining a passing score through an academic assessment (District will provide this assesment), OR
• Associates degree or higher, OR
• 72 quarter credit hours at an institution of higher education.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Including, but not limited to, frequent standing, walking, sitting, grasping, bending, twisting, reaching and fine manipulation.  Frequent keyboarding also required.  Must be able to lift a maximum of 35 pounds with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 20 pounds.

 

COMPENSATION: 

Position starts fall of 2024.  Current salary range is $15.96 - $21.38 per hour (depending on level of experience and education). The Milton Freewater School district offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefit package that includes:
